One idea from God can change your life...

So, about a year ago I started taking pictures for some friends for their Christmas cards. Christmas came and went and I was still taking pictures. Before I knew it, i was photographing my first wedding....then my second, and third, etc....

This wasn't a part of my plan. In fact, any plan of my own would have been WAY more boring:) But it turns out I love being a photographer. Everything about it is perfect for me, but I didn't see it coming.

As I look back on the past year, I can see how being obedient to the Lord has led me to this place and it makes me wonder what my life would be like if I hadn't followed his lead. Would I have ever discovered this passion?

I'm not a big fan of change. I like to stay where things are comfortable and I know what to expect...but I also know that when I listen to the Holy Spirit and obey, I am always blessed. This morning I read in a book: If God says "I'll bless you 'there'" and you insist on staying "here", then you are going to miss His provision."

All of this to say, despite my fears of the unknown, I am stepping out in faith and pursuing photography full time. In a few weeks I will be a full-time photographer!

As scary as this is to me, it also makes me very excited. there are so many ways I want to improve my photography and my business and now I will have the time and energy to do it.

I will need all of the prayers and encouragement I can get from all of you. I know that I wouldn't be able to make this change if it wasn't for the support of my family, friends and clients so far.

Excited to start this adventure......
